Street Department
The Village of Riverview Street Department consists of the street maintenance, public property maintenance, public works, and public improvements functions of the Village. The Street Department maintains all properties owned by the Village, including Brad L. Schultz, Jr. Memorial Park, coordinates the branch pick-up service, cleans up litter throughout the Village, and plows and salts during the winter season.
Branch Pickup Regulations
The Village of Riverview offers branch pickup service for Village residents only. The pickups are held bi-annually in April and October. In the event of a storm, additional branch pickups may be scheduled. The following guidelines apply to the branch pickup service:
| Branches will only be picked up during the fourth week of the month. In order for branches to be picked up, residents must call the Street Department and have their addresses added to the list by the Friday before the pickup week. Only those branches that have been called in will be picked up. |
| The Street Department will go street by street beginning Monday and ending Friday of the designated week. |
| Branches must be placed at the curb with the butt-end (the end that was cut from the tree) facing the street. Try to leave limbs as complete as possible, don't break branches off. |
| Limbs must be less than 6 inches in diameter. |
| Yard waste, twigs, and vines will not be picked up. |
| If a tree service cuts a tree down or trims branches, the Street Department will not pick up the branches. |
Example of branches set out with butt-end facing the street.
